Unknown gunmen again attacked a police checkpoint in Omogho in Orumba North, Anambra state today 24 February 2021.
According to eyewitnesses, armed men driving a Mercedes Benz 4Matic SUV opened fire on police officers patrolling the area.
Although the number of victims was not immediately known, the attackers also set fire to police patrol vans and took weapons.
This is the second attack on policemen today in Anambra. The first attack took the lives of two police officers on duty.
