At Ojota, Lagos State, a yoghurt vendor named Jumoke was murdered by gunshots allegedly fired by a security officer dispersing Yoruba Nation agitators.
When our journalist saw the girl’s body, he noticed that gunshots had torn the victim’s stomach open. Her age is estimated to be 14 years old.
When the bullet struck her, she was allegedly exhibiting beverages at a store.
As a mob gathered at the scene, her body was draped in a piece of fabric.
Despite the strong presence of armed cops and troops around Gani Fawehinmi Park, Ojota, Lagos, according to the NdiAsiri, Yoruba Nation agitators began to show up in large numbers.
They were shouting various independence anthems, such as “No going back,” “We want Oodua Nation,” and others.
So far, the demonstration has been calm and free of security officers’ harassment.
The agitators appeared about 11:20 a.m., while Hakeem Odumosu, the Commissioner of Police, was giving a press conference.
Some of the agitators who talked to journalists stated it was time for the Yoruba ethnic group to establish their own country since they had nothing in common with the rest of Nigeria’s ethnic groupings.
